Hakim Film Co – Terms of Service
Application of these terms
These Terms apply to all video production, photography, filming, editing and related services provided by Hakim Film Co Ltd("Hakim Film Co", "we", "us") to the client ("you").
Booking & acceptance
A booking is confirmed when the client confirms in writing, instructs Hakim Film Co to proceed, pays a deposit, or otherwise authorises work to commence. By doing so, the client agrees to these Terms of Service.Scope of work
The agreed scope, deliverables, fees and timings will be confirmed by email, quotation, proposal, invoice or Production Agreement. Any work outside the agreed scope may incur additional charges.Payment
Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date or upon final delivery, whichever comes first, unless otherwise agreed in writing.Late payments are subject to a £25 per-day late payment charge plus applicable interest, until the outstanding balance is paid in full.
Deposits & upfront payments
Any deposit or advance payment requested by Hakim Film Co is non-refundable once a booking has been confirmed, except where otherwise agreed in writing.Cancellation & postponement
Once a booking has been confirmed, cancellation or postponement by the client may result in charges for work undertaken, expenses incurred and any lost production time. For larger productions, the specific cancellation terms in the Production Agreement will apply.Client responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing accurate information, approvals, access, permissions, locations, contributors and other materials reasonably required to complete the project. Delays caused by the client may affect delivery dates and incur additional costs.Changes & revisions
The agreed fee includes the revisions stated in the scope of work. Additional revisions or changes to the agreed brief may be charged at our standard rates.Delivery
Final deliverables will be supplied in the agreed format following receipt of all outstanding payments. Hakim Film Co is not required to release final master files while an invoice remains unpaid.Copyright & usage
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, copyright in footage, photographs, project files and other production materials remains with Hakim Film Co. Upon full payment, the client receives the agreed licence to use the final deliverables for the purposes specified in the booking. Raw footage and project files are not included unless specifically agreed.Portfolio & promotion
Unless the client requests otherwise in writing before production, Hakim Film Co may use completed work, stills and excerpts for its portfolio, website, social media, showreels and promotional purposes.Third-party materials
The client is responsible for ensuring that any materials supplied to Hakim Film Co — including logos, music, images, footage, fonts or other content — are properly licensed for the intended use.Expenses
Reasonable agreed expenses, including travel, accommodation, location fees, specialist equipment, couriers and other third-party costs, may be charged separately from the production fee.Limitation of liability
Hakim Film Co will take reasonable care in delivering the services but will not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of opportunity arising from the services, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded.Force majeure
Hakim Film Co will not be liable for delays or failure to perform caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including serious illness, accidents, extreme weather, equipment failure, industrial action, travel disruption or other unforeseen events.Data & confidentiality
Both parties will take reasonable steps to protect confidential information shared during the project. Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation.Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales shall have jurisdiction.Precedence
Where a signed Production Agreement or specific written project agreement exists, its terms will take precedence over these Terms where there is any conflict.
